No sooner did I finish my HEI Upgrade on the "MIGHTY EIGHT" (thanks hobbs) did I start to see threads on the Off-Road.com BBS about upgrading the stock Motorcraft distributor and coil to newer technology.

Well, I took out the HEI Upgrade and went with the TFI Upgrade.

The first thing that I noticed was a much smoother accel;eration and idle.  The off-the-line acceleration was great and I still cannot find any dead spots.

I would recommend the TFI over the HEI any day.  It is a much simplier upgrade and I feel that the results are much, much more significant.
